About

Twelve boys from Norfolk U13's cricket will be touring Cape Town, 12th February – 22nd February 2015. The squad will be travelling with three coaches, their current Team Manager and ex-Norfolk Captain/Coach Paul Newman plus Luke Caswell and Kevin Denmark.

Whilst on tour we will visit many of Cape Town's wonderful sights including Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Cape Peninsula Coast. It is our intention to visit two townships, Langa and Kayelitsha, as well as Baphumelele Children's Home, the charity we are supporting. We will play four cricket matches against local clubs and school teams.

Norfolk U13s vs Langa CC . Match Report

Norfolk Under 13, sponsored by Almary Green, kicked off their tour of Cape Town with a comfortable 90 run victory in a 20 over match against Langa CC. The team toured the Langa township in the morning and enjoyed a locally prepared meal accompanied by some talented musicians.  Set against a backdrop of the beautiful Table Mountain, Norfolk scored 165 for 4 in their allotted overs with Sam Grisewood top scoring with 25. In reply the Langa boys could only score 75 before being bowled out in the 18th over. Eddie Darley took 2-5 but all the other bowlers took a wicket.  After the match the Norfolk boys donated sports kit to the Langa boys and so ended a memorable day.
