About

Twelve boys from Norfolk U13's cricket will be touring Cape Town, 12th February – 22nd February 2015. The squad will be travelling with three coaches, their current Team Manager and ex-Norfolk Captain/Coach Paul Newman plus Luke Caswell and Kevin Denmark.

Whilst on tour we will visit many of Cape Town's wonderful sights including Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Cape Peninsula Coast. It is our intention to visit two townships, Langa and Kayelitsha, as well as Baphumelele Children's Home, the charity we are supporting. We will play four cricket matches against local clubs and school teams.

Somerset College vs Norfolk U13's

Our second fixture took place at Somerset College, it was 32 degrees and still quite windy!! The backdrop and scenery was really astonishing.

It was so hot we chose to field in our training shorts. The match was extremely close and the boys played so well as a team. The result ended as a draw on the last ball of the innings. Our parents were very tense. Match report to follow.

After the match Judge made a speech to show his appreciation for Somerset College and their match hospitality. Their Headmaster watched the presentation as Judge handed them a Tour pennant, some Tour brochures and a mini Tour bat.
