Twelve boys from Norfolk U13's cricket will be touring Cape Town, 12th February – 22nd February 2015. The squad will be travelling with three coaches, their current Team Manager and ex-Norfolk Captain/Coach Paul Newman plus Luke Caswell and Kevin Denmark.


Whilst on tour we will visit many of Cape Town's wonderful sights including Table Mountain, Robben Island and the Cape Peninsula Coast. It is our intention to visit two townships, Langa and Kayelitsha, as well as Baphumelele Children's Home, the charity we are supporting. We will play four cricket matches against local clubs and school teams.

Langa Township


We were given a tour of Langa by Eric. Some of our donated pens, pencils and colouring books were given to the children who met us on the street!


Some of the situations were very moving and the boys learned how some people aren't so fortunate as them!
We walked with our guide through the houses to meet a sand artist. We saw some of his art work and were given a very impressive demo.

At lunch we had the most amazing meal at Shelia's cafe!! Also, there was a group of percussionists to entertain us while we ate! They invited some of the boys to have a go themselves!!!!
